The British Atherosclerosis Society

MEETINGS

The Society currently has two meetings a year, usually held in Oxford in the spring and Cambridge in the autumn.

Over recent years, the format of these meetings has evolved so that the autumn meeting is normally on a focused topic of atherosclerosis research while the spring meeting is more broadly based, covering several topics.

At the spring meeting, as well as state of the art lectures by invited national and international speakers, there are short oral and poster presentations selected on the basis of submitted abstracts, given mostly by young clinical and non-clinical researchers.

The successful abstracts have for some years been published in a supplement to the journal Atherosclerosis.
